Working to Fabric Technology
in line with Sourcing Office,
Meeting the expectations of
the sourcing briefs from the Business Units in terms of value and
quality
Ensure the suppliers and
mills understand and meet UK customer quality and safety requirements
for jersey &woven products and producers; develop action plans to
bring these to acceptable quality, environmental and safety standards.
Assist garment manufacturing
units in interpreting customers technical packs and ensure
products meet the customer required/agreed standard for esthetics and
performance
Screening (fitting, technical
assessment) of buying/fit samples, contract seals and rack samples
against the tech packs before sending to UK and giving approval when
required/needed.
Screening of all technical
(pp forms, tests) & bulk submissions (including colour) of products
before sending to UK and giving approval when required/needed
Carrying out pre-production /
risk analysis reviews (priority basis) and agreeing required testing
standards and the frequency of tests,
Issue management and follow up on AQL failures.

What technical knowledge and
skills do we need?
Technical qualification in
Fabric/Product Technology, preferably to a degree level.
3 – 5 years working
experience in knitted &woven market working with the UK / European
customers
Ability to build strong
relationships with Head Office, Sourcing office and suppliers
Good level of communication
skills in English with knowledge of technical terms about knitted
&woven
Strong communication and
influencing skills
Work as part of a team in
Sourcing Office.
Good level of analytical
thinking and problem solving ability
